2022 Melbourne Football Club Collaboration
The inspiration for the 2022 release came from the Demon’s slogan, Give ‘Em Hell, which was used on the lead up to the finals of their premiership flag winning season.
As a die-hard fan of the Melbourne Football Club, 78 Degrees worked with renowned gin writer and spirits judge, Caroline Ashford AKA The Gin Queen, to develop the unique flavour of the 78 Degrees x Melbourne Football Club Hearts On Fire Gin.
Taking the unique and amazing flavour of atomic heat chilli, which is vapour distilled to unlock bright capsicum notes, without lending heat. This is then lifted with the addition of sweet apple, to bring a nice bright note to the gin, along with the refreshing citrus note of kumquat. This is all built on a traditional juniper-forward gin base.
45ml Hearts On Fire Gin
Top with Strangelove light tonic, garnish with an orange slice and a slice of red chilli
60ml Hearts on Fire Gin
30ml Lime Juice
Teaspoon of sweet chilli jam
15ml Auafaba or egg white
Method: Add all ingredients to shaker and shake hard with ice. Strain through a tea strainer into a fresh rocks glass with ice. Garnish with a slither of long red chilli and an orange slice
