ENDEMIC SOURCING

AFTER MANY YEARS OF SOURCING AND USING NATIVE AUSTRALIAN BOTANICALS AND INGREDIENTS, WE ARE CONSCIOUS OF THE CHALLENGES IMPACTING SUSTAINABILITY, SUPPLY AND VIABILITY OF THESE CROPS.

We have worked closely with Indigenous food suppliers and farmers to develop and adhere to sustainable systems for purchasing and distribution.

We are guided by the traditional landowners and their innate understanding of crops, growth cycles and sustainable harvest volumes. By working closely with these communities, we help to not only protect the long-term viability of these crops but also to support micro-businesses in Indigenous communities and create future employment.

This process strives to achieve several aims;

  • Help to establish micro-businesses in Indigenous communities
  • Return profits to the traditional landowners
  • Allow the traditional landowners, who have an innate understanding of these crops, to control the sustainability of harvest volumes and systems
  • Help to create employment opportunities in Indigenous communities, thereby improving community welfare.

We liken these systems to the Fair-Trade Coffee program, as both encourage the consumer to make an educated purchase that supports disadvantaged producers and strives to empower communities.

“By working closely with these communities, we help to not only protect the long term viability of these crops, but also to support micro-businesses in Indigenous communities and create future employment. ”
